Mr. William Chui is the Regional Director, Europe of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC).  The HKTDC is Hong Kong’s statutory organisation responsible for promoting and developing the city’s external trade.  Mr. Chui supervises the HKTDC’s thirteen offices in Europe, Central Asia and Israel (Almaty, Barcelona, Budapest, Frankfurt, Istanbul, London, Milan, Moscow, Paris, Prague, Tel Aviv, Stockholm and Warsaw).

Mr. Chui has acquired extensive experience in overseas markets during his previous postings to three of the HKTDC’s regional headquarters: He was actively involved in the HKTDC’s efforts to open up the newly reunified German market for Hong Kong products and services. During the transition of Hong Kong from a British Colony to a Special Administrative Region of China, Mr. Chui was Director of New York Office, overseeing the Americas market.

Later, he headed the HKTDC’s Dubai Office to develop the emerging markets in the Middle East and Africa.

Mr. Chui directed the Product Promotion, Service Promotion, and International & Mainland Relations departments respectively before his appointment as Regional Director, Europe in November 2016.

Mr. Chui has an MBA from the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, a BSSc (Hons) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a Higher Diploma in Marketing from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Mr. Chui is married with one daughter.
