Henry des Longchamps is a Principal at CPCS. He is a senior executive involved in all aspects of transport and logistics business: finance, operations, business development and strategy. He has an extensive practice and knowledge of the transport industry, international environments and strategic developments. More recently during a spell of 5 years at the World Bank, he has managed or strongly contributed to large rail and port development projects, and also to several technical support programs to Governments throughout Europe, Asia and Africa. Previously, during more than 10 years in the UK as a GM for freight forwarding and logistic companies, Henry has led successful commercial developments and tender bids across Europe.
Henry is familiar with a wide range of transport and logistics requirements and practices, in industries ranging from heavy engineering (Corus, Arcelor, GE) to FMCG (P&G), retail business (M&S), Automotive (BMW-Mini, Ford) as well as passenger travel (Eurostar) during a successful progression of twenty-five years within the transport and logistics sector.
Henry is currently the Team Leader on the CPCS study with World Bank to improve the competitiveness of the Trans-Caucasus Transit Corridor in Azerbaijan and Georgia.
